Hug Point is a beautiful beach on the Oregon Coast just 5 miles south of Cannon Beach. Hug Point State Recreation site has stunning cliffs with colors that are unreal. Nick and I met up with Erin + Joe on a calm weekday at Hug Point, which is the best time to go. It was a beautiful summer day for their Hug Point engagement Session. Of course the winds always have to make their appearance ~ as the Oregon Coast does.
When we met Erin + Joe over our initial FaceTime meeting we knew we would be great friends. Nick and Joe instantly bonded over super 8mm and snowboarding. Erin and I enjoy hanging out, enjoying the sun, and corn dogs…. an obsession that can’t be really explained until you meet a fellow corn dog lover. HA! Since then we frequently meet up for dinners and BBQs in our backyard with our dogs. On the rare occasion Erin and I will sit in the sun up on Mt. Hood while Nick and Joe go snowboarding.

They had us do a super8mm film of their Hug Point engagement session and we are obsessed with how it turned out! Doing an engagement session in super8mm is a great way to have something fun and unique to share with your family and friends. You can see more of our super8mm films here.
Erin + Joe’s engagement session ended with a beautiful sunset on the beach. The wind added to their playfulness and it was just the perfect day. We can’t wait for their wedding at The Orchard this fall. We know it will be one to remember.
