Alyssa and Josh had planned to have their wedding March 21st and with the coronavirus rapidly growing they changed their wedding to an elopement. Here’s their story:
“5 months ago when we started planning our wedding, we never would have imagined this day would have turned out like it did. It took one week. One week for our minds to be clouded with uncertainty, people cancelling, venues closing, and it seemed like the whole world was shutting down because of this virus outbreak. Just in time to seemingly ruin our chances at a perfect wedding. After back to back cancellations from family and friends, we decided to cancel the event. And what a great decision that turned out to be! God has a unique way of turning focus on love and each other in times like this. So, just two days after cancelling our “dream” wedding, there we were, eloping at Mt. Hood. We had perfect weather, we were full of excitement, our dog was there, and we couldn’t have asked for a better display of our love for one another. We initially wanted a small, intimate wedding, and that’s exactly what we got! Would it have been nice to have a ton of people there? Sure. But the only thing we cared about at the end of the day was having the sun set as husband and wife. We’re so thankful for Krysta and Nick, for being the dynamic duo they are. It was magical and perfect and we wouldn’t have had it any other way! ” -Alyssa + Josh
